Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun is a safe and healthy housing organization affiliated with the nation’s largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low income homes and communities. Our services span the Phoenix metro-area, ensuring low-income families, seniors, and veterans across the valley receive critical home repairs and safety modifications at no cost to the homeowner. Home repairs focus on falls prevention, safety, and weatherproofing, while our neighborhood revitalization efforts benefit the community at large. We accomplish our mission by bringing together volunteer labor, donated materials, and private and corporate contributions to provide critical repairs for homeowners and nonprofit facilities, install grab bars and wheelchair ramps for those with mobility difficulties, and beautify parks and public spaces. Since 1991, RTVOS has engaged more than 60,000 volunteers from nearly 500 organizations throughout Arizona. Our philanthropic efforts have resulted in $7 million in repairs at over 1,900 homes and 60 nonprofit facilities.
