Zayed Fund for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has been established in 2017 to implement the long-term vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, under the direction of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The Zayed Fund was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the UAE-based Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development with a capital of US$50 million to foster development of small and medium enterprises in Chechnya and to support its economy. The Zayed Fund’s model is inspired by KFED, which is based on the four pillars of training, guidance, financing and support. The Zayed Fund for Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to empower and motivate youth and raise their leadership capacities, and to contribute to developing Chechnya’s economy and achieve its prosperity and social empowerment.
