Lady Panthers Girls Basketball Association
www.lpgbaladypanthers.orgLPGBA is a 501(c)3 AAU Girls Basketball program, a USA Basketball Accredited Youth Organization, and a Jr. NBA member organization from Duncanville, Texas. We are also a USA Basketball 3x3 & FIBA 3X3 program. April 10, 2018 was our program’s eighth-year anniversary!! Our USA Basketball-, NCAA-, NAIA-, NFHS-, AAU-, AIC-, CIC-, NAYS- and NAYS Select-trained coaching staff uses the USA Basketball Youth Development Curriculum infused with Positive Coaching Alliance's ELM Mastery concepts. Our program is also grounded in the Positive Youth Development Theory and is both a Prevention and Life-Skills based program. The goal of the Lady Panthers Girls Basketball Association (LPGBA) is to make the sport of Basketball fun and safe for female athletes. LPGBA promotes the values and importance of physical activities in the emotional, physical, social and mental development of female youth. LPGBA leaders believe that participation in sports builds character and is a great venue to teach life skills. We want our players to master life skills, as well as, their craft and not just focus on winning games at all cost. When they master the skills needed to play the sport of Basketball, they will start to consistently win over a longer period of time than just winning to accomplish one goal (league division win or a tournament game win). This will provide them with steps needed to accomplish life goals set, as well. In addition to the LPGBA programs coaches, our players are optionally trained by Tony Swindle of She's Up Showcase and Erion Harris. We compete in some of the best tournaments in the within the state of Texas and nationally. Our goal is to provide a program that can consistently compete at the local, regional, state and national levels and provide fundamental training for as many players as possible.
