We are Ecurie Aix, the Formula Student Team of RWTH Aachen University. With over 500 teams, Formula Student is the world’s largest design competition for budding engineers. Together, we design an electric and autonomous race car which we compete with against teams from all over the world on Europe’s most famous race tracks. Although the development, design and manufacturing of our vehicles is in the hands of our student team members, we are supported by many institutes as well as industry partners. Our goal is to compete with a lighter, faster and better vehicle on the track every year. But it’s not all about the technology: our club’s economy, organization and presentation are also judged at competitions. Over 70 active team members and around 500 alumni have so far taken the opportunity to make their studies more diverse with Ecurie Aix. Not only can we apply study content in practice and take responsibility for our project from the very beginning, but we also have the opportunity to experience how our own designs become reality.
