Detroit Future Trends was created with the mission of enhancing the economic viability of the City of Detroit by empowering its Citizens and embracing its evolving and eclectic community. Key goals or the non-profit organization include: 01. COMMUNITY SUPPORT Participate in initiatives that improve the immediate community, including City of Detroit Council Member Mary Sheffield's "Occupy The Block." 02. SCHOLARSHIPS Raise funds to provide financial support in the form of College or Trade school scholarships. 03. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Create new business & housing development opportunities within various communities, beginning with the Trendsetter Pointe Project. 04. EMPOWERMENT Identify and provide tools to allow individuals the opportunity to improve their circumstances.
