In its 30-year history, MEGWARE Computer Vertrieb und Service GmbH has established itself as one of Europe's leading supercomputing specialists. Since its foundation in 1990, the Chemnitz based company has been able to draw on extensive experience in the development and installation of High Performance Computing (HPC) systems and Linux clusters. MEGWARE, consisting of nearly 50 well-trained, highly motivated employees, has delivered and installed approximately 1,700 high-performance computers to research institutes, universities, and industrial and business customers throughout Europe. Seventy percent of HPC installations are in public areas such as physics, mathematics, biochemistry, and climate and gene research. Industrial customers of MEGWARE mainly come from the automotive industry, where flow, noise and crash are simulated and from the pharmaceutical sector. The service portfolio ranges from competent planning prior to purchase, through production and testing of the complete system to turnkey installation and the desired service and support. MEGWARE has implemented advanced ideas and designed products by outstanding in-house developments of hardware and software that help lead the way in the sector. For a quarter of a century, innovative products such as chassis, PDUs, direct on-chip liquid cooling or clustering management software have been developed.
