Our mission is to improve the safety and wellbeing of women by providing cookstoves that use less than half the fuel of a traditional three-stone fire. A clean stove like the Berkeley-Darfur Stove® reduces the need for women to take long, unsafe journeys searching for fuel, reduces the need to spend money and use food rations to obtain firewood, and decreases deforestation.
