The RSPCA is Australia’s pre-eminent animal welfare organisation. RSPCA Darwin is an independent, locally-run charity; we rely entirely on grants and fundraising to continue to do the work we do. With the support of our wonderful community, all the funds raised remain with the animals of the Northern Territory. RSPCA Darwin cares for over 1000 animals each year who come to us through no fault of their own, whether lost, abandoned, neglected or worse. We also provide a strong voice for all animals, using strong scientific evidence to inform and advocate for long term improvements to animal welfare through legislation, bylaws and advice. Unlike other states and territories, the Northern Territory Government legislation does not delegate the powers of animal welfare investigations to RSPCA, meaning we are unfortunately unable to assist with reports of cruelty.
