The formation of Milltown Baptist Church, formally known as Zion Hall, was established in 1896. The founder was the late James Taylor, a humble man who worked in the linen business in Edenderry, before he came a Pastor. In spite of opposition, trials and hardships, he stood firm for God, religious liberty, and faithfully preached the gospel. Soon, the meetings were well attended and every seat occupied. Many people were saved and baptised, and grew to love the Lord.
