www.fyieverybodycooks.com.auEVERYBODY should know how to cook something! It doesn't have to be gourmet, just something that makes you feel a sense of achievement and independence that you have created a meal yourself. cooking is an important life skill. But there can be challenges and you may feel that your are not up to it. Whatever the challenge, whether it is your abilities, you were not taught or you are looking to improve your skills, fyieverybodycooks will be there to help you. fyieverybodycooks has developed a YouTube cooking show starring Daniel, my 10 year old son who has Down Syndrome, and an accompanying cookbook. The cooking show showcases how amazing and clever Daniel is as well as illustrating how someone with a challenge can overcome it and learn to cook. we decided to launch fyieverybodycooks with a party so the first cookbook in a series of books is of course, party food. Who doesn't love a party? the cookbooks themselves are like no other and the recipes are a little different. They have been designed to start out nice and simple, helping build on particular kitchen skills safely. Each recipe has icons and wording that guides you through the steps. All the measurements are in cups and spoons. So there is no need for scales at this stage. It is also colour and size coded to enable you to identify them easily. if you get stuck, follow along whilst watching Daniel and I make it on the fyieverybodycooks YouTube cooking show.
