Cruising on Indian Rivers since 2003, Assam Bengal Navigation (ABN) was the first to open the doors to luxury Indian River expeditions and we have since expanded our portfolio to own and operate a fleet of 4 specially-designed boutique expedition ships on the Ganges and Brahmaputra Rivers as well as jungle lodges and houseboats. They embarked their cruising operation with RV Charaidew (12 Cabins) on the Brahmaputra River in 2003, today they also operate RV Sukapha (12 Cabins) and RV Rajmahal (22 Cabins) on the Ganges River whilst waiting for the completion of RV Charaidew 2 (18 Cabins), their 4th ship on the Brahmaputra River, late in 2018. The Ganges River Cruise adds diversity to the common array of India itineraries and is ideally combined with the golden triangle (Delhi, Agra & Jaipur) or Rajasthan. Whereas the Brahmaputra River Cruise appeals to every India enthusiast and wildlife & birding aficionados. ABN also, owns and operates Diphlu River Lodge at Kaziranga National Park and Bansbari Lodge in Manas National Park, both these parks are UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Royal Highnesses, Prince William and Kate, the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge also enjoyed Assam during their stay at our safari lodge, the Diphlu River Lodge in Kaziranga National Park last April 2016.
