Mrinal Verma belongs to one of the pre-independence families in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India wherein his great grandfather Ram Rattan Verma, BSc. (Hons) Chemistry and Technical Chemistry, son of Prabhu Dayal migrated from Khetri, Jaipur in Rajasthan along with his wife and son during the late nineteen thirties and built the Chitranjan House, Model Town East in 1940. In the year 1949, Ram Rattan Verma set-up a Copper Wire Netting Factory in his backyard to produce Copper Strainer Cloth, Sugar Centrifugal Linings and other Wire Nettings through Handloom Process by the name of M/s Tubewell Strainer Cloth Manufacturing Co. Mrinal’s grandfather Chitranjan Verma, a BSc. graduate from Meerut University in 1953 expanded the Company’s Unit at Delhi-Meerut Road, Industrial Area to Manufacture Copper Wires of all Gauges and Super Enameled Copper Wires that progressed as Approved Government Contractors for Water Filter Manufacturing. During his short lifetime, he was elected as Chairman of the Municipal Board, Ghaziabad (Congress-R) and served as Founder Member & Treasurer of All-India Manufacturers Organisation (AIMO) and also President of Rotary Club among other Social and Community Services. However, due to untimely death of Chitranjan Verma in 1978 and introduction of PVC plastic as a cheaper substitute to Copper, Mrinal’s father Rajiv Verma forayed into Steel Wire Drawing Plant by reviving sick units namely M/s Krishna Wire Netting Works at Bulandshahr Road, Industrial Area and M/s Loomba Manufacturing Syndicate at Delhi-Meerut Road, Industrial Area respectively. Mrinal, after studying from The Scindia School, Fort Gwalior in 1999 and graduation from Delhi University along with GNIIT in Systems Management in 2002, has lived local but worked Global as an IT Executive Search Consultant for companies like Headstrong, Nastrac and Contact Recruitment for over a decade. He joined the family business and promoted M/s Shakti Investments & Warehousing Co. in 2012
