Anish Corporation is an Indigenous based non-profit organization located in the Swan Lake First Nation building near Headingley, Manitoba. Committed to providing a high standard of services to Indian Residential School survivors and their families, the sacred teachings of the pipe make up the core values and principles of the organization. We deliver health & wellness related programs and services to former students of Indian Residential Schools, their family members and support person(s) in Manitoba. These services are provided by Trauma Informed Health Support Workers (R.H.S.W.'s) through a Contribution Agreement with Health Canada. Our services include: - Health, wellness, and cultural workshops & presentations - Emotional support provided by our Trauma Informed Health Support Workers - Assistance with the cost of transportation can be provided by contacting our Regional Coordinator’s office toll-free at 1-866-818-3505 - When necessary, providing referrals to other community services & programs - Professional counselling referrals - Cultural support referrals Anish Corporation also provides: Training coordination services to Aboriginal Head-Start On-Reserve Projects and meeting facilitation services.
