Taungana NPC

www.taungana.org

Taungana is a movement that empowers rural African high school girls with the opportunity to access and explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Math (STEM). Taungana believes in a generation of African girls that change their lives and contribute to sustainable development through science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship and mathematics - STEM. The movement is creating a supportive ecosystem of diverse partners, including the rural communities, that serves to encourage female student engagement in STEM beyond ‘one time’ events. Taungana presents the first regionally integrated approach to tackling the socio-economic and gender hindrances to STEM involvement for rural high school girls in sub-Saharan Africa with an initial focus on Southern Africa. 'Empowering future African leaders through science, technology, engineering, (entrepreneurship), maths (STEM). One girl at a time.' ***Join the Movement*** This page is meant to build a professional community, understanding and friendship. We encourage your comments and look forward to you joining the discussions.
