Because the world isn’t flat (it has stairs and curbs), people like Archer Hadley — dependent on wheels to navigate — bump into major obstacles as often as the able-bodied climb a step, walk up a curb, or open a door. Since 2014, Archer Hadley has improved accessibility for disabled central Texans by posing a simple challenge: trade your feet for wheels and try to navigate your world from a chair. Participants donate for the privilege of accepting Archer’s Challenge. These folks then wheel through their day, going one-on-one with more than a few chair-stopping moments.
