Prime Leaders of York Region will take initiative in raising awareness within the community concerning local and global issues to educate and encourage the public in taking action which will ultimately build a more powerful community. Our vision is to empower and inspire others to do good deeds within the community. Our efforts will work toward realizing a more informed, involved and inspired community. In our efforts, we shall always respect and promote fundamental values such as respect, equality, compassion, collaboration and leadership Prime Leaders of York Region was founded in November 2012 by a group of high school students ready and passionate to bring change and empower youth. After starting with just one small branch in Markham, our organization quickly expanded to 3 branches in order to better serve youth in Richmond Hill and Vaughan. By November of 2013, all 3 branches were working collaboratively in order to achieve a common goal – informing & involving youth of contemporary social issues and inspiring them to take action. Since then, we have run countless events and online initiatives bringing together hundreds of youth from all over York Region. We make a conscientious effort to bring forward as diverse a group as possible to truly represent the great strengths of York Region.
