DDF presents the very best dance from Ireland and around the world in venues and spaces throughout Dublin to a growing and evolving audience each May. Throughout the year, DDF deepens engagement with dance in Ireland, offering innovative, inclusive and educational dance experiences to diverse audiences, participants and communities. DDF is committed to supporting dance artists in Ireland, providing a vital international platform and enabling the creation of new work through residencies, commissions and partnerships. Following the cancellation of the 2020 Festival in May due to the Covid-19 crisis, we celebrated dance and dance artists in new ways with the DDF Digital Capsule; a curated selection of films, discussions, articles and interactive dance experiences from 29 May - 7 June. From dance aficionados to curious newbies, over 6,800 people tuned in from all over the globe, with 23,500+ individual page views, a further 15,500+ video plays on YouTube, and more than 700 people at live events.
