MOUNTAIN WEST SMALL BUSINESS FINANCE is a private, non-profit corporation licensed and regulated by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Mountain West administers the SBA’s 504 Development Company Loan Program in the state of Utah and in surrounding mountain states. Mountain West was created as an initiative of the State’s Office of Economic Development in 1980, recognizing the need for support of existing local small businesses. As a not-for-profit finance intermediary, Mountain West works with local lending institutions, community economic development agencies, and business owners to facilitate access to capital for growth, expansion and job creation. Mountain West has a team of experienced economic development finance professionals with years of experience helping small business owners and lenders to access various state and federal finance opportunities. Since its inception, Mountain West has provided loans to thousands of small businesses totaling well over One Billion Dollars. The result has been the creation of thousands of new jobs in developments in every corner of Utah and adjoining states.
