Māwhitipana Ridge Estate is a single-site vineyard located on Waiheke Island in a sunny coastal valley, producing limited vintages of high quality Syrah and Marsanne. We are two families with a shared passion for creating something special, with ‘awata’ or soul. Together, we are deeply committed to kaitiakitanga - protecting and enhancing the land or life force for our children, future generations and the local community. Hand produced, our wine naturally expresses the character of our site, from the heavy clay soil to the coastal elements, sunny slopes and low-intervention, sustainable growing techniques. With award-winning winemakers, Michael Wood and Heinrich Storm we produce wine in a way that honours the distinct characteristics of the unique site, soil and vines.
