Once upon a time… there was EXKi! Not very long ago, "fast food" usually meant "bad food". On this basis, the challenge set by Frédéric Rouvez, Nicolas Steisel and Arnaud de Meeûs was to come up with a new type of fast food that was healthy and good quality. The three classmates had met up again in 1999 while working for the same company. They wanted to do "something" together. In 2000, after a great deal of thought and various trips across the world, and driven by their shared passion for good food, they developed an idea for a quality fast food restaurant. In September 2000, they signed an agreement with the owner of a building at Porte de Namur… All they needed was an appealing name… EXKi! On 9 January 2001, the first restaurant came into being… and was an instant hit! In November of the same year, a second restaurant opened in Brussels along Belgium's busiest shopping street, rue Neuve. In January 2002, the third EXKi opened outside the capital, in Antwerp. From that moment, it all happened very quickly: Italy in 2004, Wallonia in 2005, Paris in 2006, Luxembourg in 2007 and in the meantime, other restaurants in Brussels, Ghent, Liège, etc. Despite this swift but sensibly managed development, EXKi has stayed true to its original values: offering its customers a wide range of healthy, balanced recipes prepared with top quality, fresh and natural ingredients. EXKi is also a great place to hang out, with careful decoration and fantastic staff we're really proud of!
