The Citizen Jane Film Festival, an intimate, four-day film festival celebrating and showcasing the work of female filmmakers from around the world in downtown Columbia, Mo., and features some of the best in independent filmmaking, filmmaker panels, workshops, and parties. Founded at Stephens College, the second oldest women’s college in the country, Citizen Jane is changing opportunities for women in film through an internationally known Film Festival, Film Series and a Filmmaking Camp for young women. Through education, connection, and artistic/unique experiences, Citizen Jane celebrates independent film by independent women.
