The Vision Youth Leadership Program was founded in 2001. The intention is to complement the regular school academic curriculum to help our youth to develop life skills, which will prepare them for a successful and rewarding future. We encourage civic participation and the continuous development of physical, social, and leadership skills through a holistic training approach. Creativity and innovation are rapidly becoming more important in this fast-changing world. This program provides an environment that brings out the imagination, passion and energy of the young participants to forge their own vision. We challenge them to dream bigger, reach higher, and to nurture a compassion for people, life and nature. We have decided to take on this mission: "To Inspire and Coach our Youth to Become Visionary Leaders" This comprehensive program is made up of indoor and outdoor activities. The indoor workshops include Learning Experiences through Artistic Performances (LEAP), First Aid, Public Speaking, Social Awareness, etc. These workshops are designed to develop both theoretical and practical skills in various orientations through a learning experience that mixes fun with hands-on training. The outdoor training sessions include activities such as Hiking, Camping, Outdoor Leadership Camp, Rock Climbing, etc. that provide mental and physical challenges to the youth. As well, we partner with other certification programs in order to provide the best possible training for the participants.
