The øther explores the layered cultural experience through the lens code flexing with clothing, embroidery, storytelling and artistic expression. Driven by her passion for art, creating impact, and expressing identity Nyla Hasan developed the øther. Inspired by her mixed heritages, exploring the roots of her origins, and finding harmony within, she created moods rather than lines, choosing to flex parts of her identity based on what she wanted to bring into the world. Her work not only centers on identity but drawing awareness to centuries-old South Asian craft and artisan techniques.
