My philosophy is to create accessible and practical solutions for a wide variety of teams, athletes and clients. These solutions include exercise and training interventions, as well as aspects of nutrition and lifestyle education. A foundation of this process is to apply an evidence based approach. Firstly, this means gaining an extensive knowledge of the specific situation, environment and experience of the team/athlete/client. Secondly, a critically evaluated understanding of current and relevant research linked to the needs of the team/individual is added. Finally, I use my own expertise and experience to create a practical solution. The whole process is very much a collaboration between the team/athlete/client and I to find the very best solution that is not only practical but successful. In the past, I have worked with a range of athletes and clients, including a Brazilian JuJitsu Fighter, a Golfer and several clients who I designed rehabilitation plans after suffering injuries. However, the majority of my experience has been working with in team sports, mainly rugby union and league and particularly with youth athletes. This service comes in a range of offers, including: - Online Coaching Support (Teams and Individuals) - Practical Workshops - Sessional Coaching - Schemes of Work (Primary and Secondary School) Alongside these coaching offers for I can provide coach and volunteer education workshops. These focus on the physical considerations for coaches applied to their specific environment. These sessions aim to provide the coaches/volunteers with some tools they can adapt and apply but it also highlights aspects of physical development and technical skills that are critical considerations.
