The first fund raised by Arcadia (Arcadia Small Cap), with a total commitment of Euro 53 million, has completed to date 4 investments and 3 exits, distributing 100% of the amount drawn by the investors. The remaining portfolio company, Vision Group, is the leading Italian specialist distributor and retailer of optical products. In March 2022 the company has acquired 174 DOS from EssilorLuxottica, creating the leading independent optical group operating the largest Italian DOS chain and the largest franchise network in the market, with a network of 2,900 stores, of which 500 stores under the banner “VisionOttica” of which 200 DOS. In 2017 Arcadia has raised its second private equity fund, Arcadia Small Cap II (“ASC II”), with a total commitment of Euro 80 million. ASC II has been subscribed by institutional Italian and international investors, among which the European Investment Fund. ASC II has completed five investments and one divestment to date: Castello Italia, a company active in the extrusion of polyamide and polyurethane coils and tubes for the industrial automation sector and for application in the automotive sector, was sold to Group ARaymond in October 2021.
