IT Service provider for insurance companies The "Gesellschaft für angewandte Versicherungs Informatik" (GaVI) mbH. was established on 1 July 2002 and became fully operational on 1 January 2003. The registered office of the company was at Mannheim. GaVI had approximately 490 employees at eleven locations: Mannheim, Kassel, Munich, Stuttgart, Münster, Kiel, Karlsruhe, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Berlin, Erfurt and Saarbrücken. Turnover in 2007 was approximately € 190 million. The company was a joint subsidiary of insurance chamber VKB (54%), the SV Sparkassen insurance (23%), and the Provincial NorthWest (23%). On 31 December 2014, the company was reintegrated into the insurance companies involved.
