INSEAD Alumni Balance in Business Initiative
www.balanceinbusiness.orgThe aim of the INSEAD Alumni Balance in Business Initiative is to engage and inspire current and future leaders on why Balance in Business matters, how to implement it and to recognise the value it can create. This is a fully volunteer-led initiative run by INSEAD alumni who are passionate about addressing gender balance. We also believe that by engaging and educating leaders they can become agents for change. Our goal is two-fold: - to engage and empower alumni with the knowledge and skills on why and how to achieve strategically balanced organisations; and - to actively address the talent pipeline. Central to our mission of Balance in Business is the development of a gender balanced talent pipeline. The Impact Mentoring programme was born out of the desire to create a long-lasting legacy of bringing INSEAD alumni, men and women, together to address gender inequalities in business. Our mission is to have an impact on gender balance and to contribute to having more balanced businesses and, as a consequence, a more balanced society. Currently our Impact Mentoring programme supports women in mid-to-senior positions and tackles challenges ranging from career moves, running start-ups and navigating company politics to building self-confidence, returning to work and supporting salary negotiations. We are supported by a mentor network of over 220 INSEAD alumni, male and female, who volunteer their time to support the next generation of leaders achieve their aspirations.
