The Fairway Gorge Paddling Club (FGPC) brings people together as individuals, as teams and as businesses, to share our passion for paddling and community engagement, even during COVID-19 (dragon boat, outrigger, kayak, kids camps and stand-up paddling). Dragon boat and outrigger training are a great way for companies and organizations to build teamwork and community. Paddling builds friendships, confidence and mental, emotional and physical fitness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, FGPC’s programs are fully COVID-compliant while continuing to offer FGPC’s four program pillars: train (our gym and coached programs), play (our kids camps and school programs), experience (community and group bookings, subject to COVID-19), and competition (our many racing programs). FGPC operates a race management company that has hosted nearly 100 regattas in multiple locations since 2014. Each year we bring thousands of people together for training, kids’ camps, corporate adventures and events that we produce, including the new Vancouver Island Dragon Boat Festival on Victoria's spectacular harbour network. FGPC is also the owner/operator of Victoria's Waterfront Fitness facility on the beautiful Gorge waterfront. This facility shares the same commitment to structured fitness by providing coaching and training environments for people of all ages and abilities, even during COVID-19. We are proud of our role in our community, and we strive to help bring people together – as individuals, as teams, as businesses and as families.
