At the Social Mobility Society we are committed to improving and bringing awareness to the issue of low social mobility by providing advice, opportunities and help to socio-economically disadvantaged students. Our objectives which we aim to achieve throughout the year include: 1. Connecting students from similar backgrounds and giving them a chance to network within the society at LSE and also at intercollegiate events with similar societies from Universities in the UK. 2. Holding informative careers advice sessions in collaboration with some of the biggest societies at LSE and through seminars with 2nd and 3rd year students as well as LSE alumni. Our sponsor Bright-network also provides fantastic opportunities of careers and application advice. 3. Returning to in-person events and enjoyable socials! We have socials planned across the year and hope to deliver an excellent and varied experience for all.
