Kuungana Advisory
www.kuungana-advisory.comKuungana Advisory is a consulting firm providing energy economics and commercial advisory services to public sector and private sector actors in the energy sector. The firm was set up by Stephen Nash, who was previously an energy sector consultant for PwC and Baringa Partners LLP, in 2015. Kuungana’s over-arching mission is to work on advisory projects that facilitate the transformational change required to increase access to environmentally sustainable and affordable energy supply in both developed and developing countries. Kuungana works extensively with governments and regulators to shape energy markets and to create an enabling framework within which the private sector can invest. Kuungana’s work covers market design and energy market regulation at the micro-level (for off-grid), national level, and at the regional level. Kuungana also works closely with a wide range of private sector developers and investors. This includes advising on strategy and performing market and commercial due diligence for equity and debt investors. Kuungana’s clients operate across the value chain (from resources, to generation, to networks, to demand-side) and a complete spectrum of technologies. Recent clients include the World Bank, DFID, IRENA, and AfDB, as well as a wide range of private sector companies and equity and debt investors. Kuungana’s work is underpinned by rigorous analytics, complemented by an understanding of the big picture priorities of the clients that we work with. This combination is what brings back many of our clients for repeat work.
