Aloha Community Library Association
www.alohalibrary.orgThe Aloha Community Library Association was founded in 2011 by community members to address the lack of public library services in the Aloha-Reedville area of unincorporated Washington County, Oregon. The library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association providing public library resources and programs for the economically diverse community of Aloha. Some of our most popular offerings are free computer and internet access, volunteer tech tutors, a Read to the Dogs program for children, family story time program, and a book club for adults. Volunteers are at the heart of the library, providing over 300 hours of volunteer support every month. Volunteers perform materials check in and shelving, serve on the board of directors, offer special programs, and manage the fundraising book sales and online sales program. The library is now a member of Washington County Cooperative Library Services, but as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, continues to rely on donations, grants, fundraising, and book sales to meet the growing demand for library services in the Aloha community.
