The TecNM ITSLP is a Higher Education Institution, located in SLP in Avenida Tecnologico S / n . It began its educational activities, officially the 16 of September of 1970 with the best auguries; basing its success in the effort, work and dedication of a small group of founders headed by its director, the Eng. Carlos Eduardo Peart and Felipe. Today it is recognized as an institution of solid prestige and great acceptance. The academic activity carried out by the has made it possible to incorporate mainly in the productive area of the region, professionals trained to transform the socioeconomic environment for the benefit of society. The academic activities began with 337 upper-level students distributed in 3 specialties: Technicians in machine tools, Technicians in electricity, Technicians in internal combustion machines. In 1972 the specialty of Technician in Electronics was included. In 1973, he started the higher level with the degrees of Industrial Engineering in Production and Electronic Industrial Engineering. In 1979 a career in Engineering in Computer Systems arose. In that same year the deconcentration of the upper middle level begins and the Degree in Industrial Relations is implemented. In 1980 the Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Industrial Engineering, as well as the Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration were implemented. In 1982 the Potosi was consolidated as an Institution of Higher Education with the creation of the Graduate and Research Center, with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialties in Design and Manufacturing Processes. ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS On July 31, 2004 are accredited the degrees in Engineering in Computer Systems and Industrial Engineering by the Council of Accreditation of Engineering Teaching (CACEI). In June of 2006, the achieved certification in the ISO 9001: 2000 standard in all its processes by the IMNC (Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification).
