Serenity Wellness A Place to Find Peace, from the Inside Out. Serenity Wellness believes in treating the stress of everyday life from a whole wellness perspective. We treat the mind and body which feeds the spirit to attain your highest and best self! Created in 2011 by Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and 200 hour Registered Yoga Instructor, Sheri Lawrence. It has been the vision to serve all those who are seeking coping skills to improve their life. We go beyond Western Psychotherapy and meld the Western and Eastern philosophies of healing. We utilize the importance of Psychotherapy techniques such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral and Family Systems Therapy while offering additions to traditional treatment; Yoga, Meditation, Massage Therapy and Reiki to balance the body with the mind. At Serenity Wellness our counselors, teachers and therapist believe that mind body awareness and treatment raise one's person to their highest and best self. We work with everyone at their comfort level of readiness for change. Many are seeking a path to healing that is less medical model based and more holistic as medicine does not have many options for prevention and focus more on treating the ailment and symptoms and not the underlying issues which can sometimes be avoided through self care. As a Licensed medical professional Sheri worked on this basis of traditional medical care for years before realizing that her own personal healing came primarily from such non traditional care as Yoga and Meditation. In 2015 she decided to take a year to study the philosophy of Yoga and mediation to deepen her own practice and learned to integrate these philosophies into her counseling. She was amazed and delighted to see the tremendous outcomes of peoples ability to self regulate and to internally heal by retraining the brain and body to work together. In 2016 Serenity Wellness expanded from psychotherapy only to having multiple yoga and mediation classes and has recently added massage and Reiki.
