Our aim is to share the joy, peace and health giving benefits of yoga with as broad a range of people as possible. The style of teaching is gentle and approachable, with an emphasis on students working at their individual capacity, to gain both enjoyment and benefit from their practice. Yoga Indra teaches a style known as Hatha which is one of the original ‘mother’ forms of yoga. It is a gentle yet powerful form of yoga, which emphasises the body, mind, breath connection. Yoga Indra’s principal teacher, Jane Miller, is an internationally accredited teacher. Jane studied in the Sivananda tradition at Aarsh Yoga Vidya Peetham in Kerala, India, under the renowned Yogi, Bhooma Chaitanya. Yoga Indra's classes are friendly, welcoming and affordable. Options are available for beginners through to intermediate yoga practitioners. Classes are 75 minutes long and incorporate asanas (postures), pranayama (conscious breathing) and yoga nidra (a form of relaxation or meditation). Six week beginners courses run regularly.
