Heritage Inspired was born as a result of a quest by three history enthusiasts and heritage hunters to find out what exactly is the legacy we are inheritors of and that formed the backdrop for their inquiry into the medieval era of Tamil history when a great Chola Dynasty seemed to appear out of nowhere in the 9th century CE and lasted for 400+ years. They traveled extensively in the Chola area, peeped into every nook and cranny, met archaeologists, historians, scholars, and also people who still bore the names of those great clans without even knowing the significance, walked on soils where ground shaking events took place, and read the messages of the great Kings etched for posterity on every possible surface. In that process, they were so awestruck by what they saw, heard and found out that they wanted others to have the same experience.
