Prevent. Act. Support. AIDS Vancouver exists to alleviate individual and collective vulnerability to HIV and AIDS through support, public education, and community based research. Since1983 AV continues to evolve our programs in response to the changing nature of HIV/AIDS. We continue to provide comprehensive services that address how HIV/AIDS impacts all aspect s of life to any individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS through our mandate to Prevent. Act. Support. Our services include education and health literacy and promotion; case management; client support; volunteer care teams; financial assistance and food security program. Last fiscal year we had 45,393 unique visitors to our website, 9,759 inquiries to our HelpLine and Reception, 13,868 bags of food provided for people living with HIV/AIDS, 148 new clients and 8,134 people helped by our case management services, and over 3,700 people attended our education and prevention events and workshops.
