Stacy Aguilar Design Co.
www.stacyeaguilar.comStacy is an online graphic design teacher, mom, DIY fanatic, and marketing nerd. I love helping teachers and educators grow their brand, up their marketing game, and create a diversified revenue stream to give them the freedom to take ownership of their career! *** Because you see, I declared 10 majors in college. Like, go to the registrar’s office, declare a major, take the intro 101 class, decide your life is in completely utter disarray, and declare a different major sort of situation. I ended up with a BA in sociology. I always wanted to be a teacher, but I waded through all those majors because I felt like I needed to do more -- be a business leader. Be a lawyer. Make a difference. Change the world in a huge, major, big way. “Ummm, be a teacher, Stacy. Duh!” “But what about all the other things?” “You can do those things too…” When I was a teacher, I constantly felt like I needed to do more and needed to prove myself. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED being a teacher and feel everyone in the education system are absolute heroes. BUT, not everyone sees it that way. And if I’m being honest, I didn’t always feel that way either. When I left teaching to stay home with my girls, I was determined to leave my “teacher” title behind to be a creative entrepreneur, design freelancer, and all-time #bossbabe rockstar. That’s where I would find my feeling of worth and accomplishment. But, (shhhhhhh) surprise -- I’m a teacher. It’s in my blood. I can’t shake that and I don’t want to. So instead, I’m owning that and making it THE VERY BEST AND BIGGEST THING. Entrepreneurial-style. Edupreneur-style. Teacherpreneur-style. Do y’all know how many split-minute, executive-order-level decisions teachers have to make? And the multi-tasking and interpersonal communication skills -- don’t get me started! So now, when people ask what I do...I don’t give a bunch of explanations. I say, “I’m a teacher. And I help other teachers be the absolute bosses they have been primed to be!”
