Research (and personal experience) shows us that the majority of working age people are unhappy. Studies show 75% of people think they’re not living up to their potential and 85% of employees are either ‘not engaged’ or ‘actively disengaged’ at work. This has a number of negative effects: • It affects a person’s mental and physical health. • The economic consequences of disengaged employees is thought to be $7 trillion in lost productivity worldwide and £40bn per year in the UK alone. • People are desperate to escape their jobs and are therefore eager to retire as soon as possible. However, with an aging population, the state pension pot is expected to run out in the next 10-12 years. • Employers are crying out for ‘creative’ people yet people experiencing negative states of mind are proven to be less creative. We are passionate about empowering people to access their unique innate gifts and find a way of applying those to their work, enabling them to achieve their potential and feel purposeful. Research shows that those doing purposeful work are more engaged, happier and healthier. Connecting people to the work that energises them is crucial - for them, their communities and our economy.
