Melbourne Food and Wine is a non-profit organisation that stages the annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Each March, food and wine lovers in their hundreds and thousands indulge in more than 200 events that fill Melbourne's labyrinthine network of restaurants, laneways, lights-turned-down basements and dizzying rooftops as well as spilling into spectacular regional Victoria. Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, served to you by Bank of Melbourne, is a statewide celebration of Victoria’s food and wine industry that attracts more than 150,000 attendees to a diverse program of hundreds of events. Run by a small not-for-profit organisation, the Festival has grown from grassroots beginnings with only a handful of events in 1993, to now being recognised as Australia’s pre-eminent food and wine festival. In 2021, Melbourne Food & Wine Festival presents a blockbuster calendar of not one but three festivals. The newly expanded festival year kicked off with a suite of signature and new events in March. Then in winter, we'll present 10 days of the festival programming people know and love, all around Melbourne. Come spring, the food and drink of regional Victoria will have a festival all its own - a first for MFWF.
