Annette Island School District (AISD) is located in Southeast. AISD serves the community of Metlakatla on Alaska’s only Native Reserve, the Metlakatla Indian Community (MIC). AISD is proud to offer cultural studies to all students to learn more about their Tsimshian heritage and traditions. In addition to an elementary, middle and high school, AISD also offers CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs including shop, welding, Native Arts, STEM, and scuba.
