Casey Berman was never meant to be a lawyer. In 2008, he began writing down some ideas about how lawyers could leave the legal industry and create a new career. In 2009, he was asked by his law school alma mater UC Hastings to present at a speaker series around “alternative, non-law careers”. He soon realized there was a gap in the market, and he intended to fill it. He launched the LeaveLawBehind.com blog which has become the leading resource to help unhappy attorneys find a new career.
