SODA is a Regional Council of Governments (Sub-State District) located in south, central Oklahoma. It was organized in 1957 to enable local governments to improve the quality of life and facilitate the economic development of the region. SODA provides services for the aging population, rural fires defense, local economic development, housing and other funding for rural community special needs. SODA serves 62 towns and cities in a 10-county region and a population of 210,000. SODA is one of 11 Regional Council of Governments in Oklahoma.
