iPLACENTA
www.iplacenta.euiPLACENTA is a multi-disciplinary research network to boost translational expertise in Maternal and Fetal Health. Funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie action (grant agreement No. 765274), it provides research training to 15 young scientists from 11 leading institutions across Europe. The principal research aim of the network is to improve our ability to study, model and visualise the placenta in order to enhance investigation and prognosis of complicated pregnancies such as preeclampsia and growth restriction. It integrates organ-chip technology and mathematical modelling, with innovation in visualising and assessing placenta health in the clinic and in vivo models, to unlock the complexity of placental disease.
