Four years ago we set up the North of England Football Academy (NEFA) with the aim of providing top class football development for players aged 16-18. WHY NEFA? We exist because we are passionate about extending the opportunities for young players to have amazing experiences (and careers) in football, whilst developing themselves educationally at the same time. Our link with non-league side Frickley Athletic make us unique in being able to provide a direct route into 1st team football. We believe that after over a decade of practice, social play, trials, games, goals, injuries and being taken all over the region and country by your parents, your football journey shouldn’t just stop at 16,17 or 18. We believe that the door for a professional career doesn’t just slam shut at these ages. In fact, what (and where) you can develop that goal actually grows at this time. How we see through our ‘why’ is based on our people; all hugely experienced, networked and successful in the game. From full internationals to the owners of clubs, there is no college academy that boasts the full compliment of experiences required to not only help you develop but then be able to deliver on that improvement you’ll make.
