CHEMET - headquartered in Tarnowskie Góry, in southern Poland, 120 km west of Cracow - is one of the leading European manufacturers of stationary and transportable pressure tanks and vessels for liquefied gases such as LPG, LNG, LIN, LOX, LAR, chlorine, ammonia and refrigerants. In 2012 the company introduced to its product portfolio a completely new type of a modern 112m3 railway tank cars for LPG and now is working on a modern 108 m3 ammonia tank car. All stationary tanks are CE-marked in accordance with the PED 97/23/EC and all transportable vessels are Π-marked in accordance with the new TPED 2010/35/WE. CHEMET S.A., founded in 1945, has been active in the pressure equipment industry for 75 years, and has achieved a stable market position as a manufacturer of high quality pressure vessels sold worldwide (Europe, Middle East, East Asia, Africa and USA). On Jan. 11, 2020 CHEMET SA took over the entire GLI GAZ company in France, the world renowned manufacturer of stationary and transportable pressure tanks, cylinders and road tankers for liquefied gases. The French daughter company - CHEMET GLI SAS - together with CHEMET SA in Poland thus has become the largest manufacturer of pressure equipment for LPG and liquefied gases in the European Union.
