An institution established under the legislative provisions of the Civil Aviation Act No 34 of 2002 and Civil Aviation Act No 14 of 2010, CAASL issues Certifications , Licenses and/or Approvals to all Airport Operators, Aircraft Operators, Airlines, Aircraft Maintenance Organizations, Aviation Training Organizations, Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, Aircraft Engineers, Flight Dispatchers, Airline Cabin Crew, Aviation-Security Personnel, Travel Agents, General Sales Agents (GSAs) etc. who are engaged in this rapidly developing and expanding industry which has a great potential to even further increase its contribution to National Economy of Sri Lanka. CAASL is further committed to promoting Aviation as a popular and much sought after profession amongst the future generation, through its internationally recognized programme known as New Generation Aviation Professionals (NGAP), harnessing the talents through Aviation clubs in schools scattered around the country.
