SVP Sports is a value retailer of brand name athletic apparel, footwear and accessories that have been in business since 1985. Originally, the name was a word pun: Si Vous Play Sports or if translated: “If You Play Sports”. Over time, a second interpretation of the slogan using those letters became: “Service Value Product”. The company has had steady growth since it started, and every year the company is striving to grow organically. It all started 1985 with one store in midtown Toronto to 9 stores all across the Greater Toronto Area and has over 300 employees. The company has a strong base of returning customers and a good reputation in the marketplace. People are coming from cities as far away as Barrie, Hamilton, and London (ON) to shop at the stores located near Toronto. This proof of how reputable the stores are. SVP Sports has developed lucrative relationships with the biggest athletic wear suppliers such as Adidas, Nike, Asics and Puma to mention a few, because of reliability and trust over their many years of operations. SVP has a wide range of products from golf clubs to winter jackets and from sports bras to sneakers and boots.
