Professional Development Collaborative
www.pdcboston.orgThe Professional Development Collaborative Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit education and training organization serving Boston area professionals-in-transition, under-employed professionals, and area employers. Our mission is twofold: 1. Offer affordable training to advance professional skills and aid individuals return to work; 2. Provide Boston area employers with the skilled professional employees they need to thrive. We accomplish these goals through the combined efforts of volunteers and paid staff who organize the training and internships, provide the facilities and technology, and raise the funds needed to underwrite training costs. We partner with three Massachusetts One-Stop Career Centers and offer workshops in Cambridge, Canton, Framingham, and Norwood, MA. In 2014 we offered over 40 technical and non-technical courses utilized by hundreds of unemployed and working professionals. We see ourselves as part of the solution to the challenges of today’s labor market including the need for ongoing professional development for employees to be productive and marketable, and the need of companies to secure highly trained staff.
