Albpetrol J.S.C is the Albanian state owned Oil and Gas Upstream Company founded on 6 April 1999 that inherited all the assets and oilfields in Albania. Company headquarters are located in the city of Patos, Fier County. The company has also a representative office located in Tirana, the Albanian Capital. We operate in several Albanian regions such as Fier, Ballsh, Patos, Kuçovë, Vlorë, Delvinë etc. Albpetrol sole owner is the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. The General Administrator of Albpetrol in Mr. Dritan Spahiu, appointed in office on March 2019. With approximately 1.800 employees Albpetrol is one of the biggest companies in Albania. We operate in Kuçove, Fier, Patos, Ballsh, Vlore, Roskovec, Delvine etc. Albpetrol applies the highest standards possible in its operation. Actually, there are 12 known sources of oil and 5 natural gas deposits. Only in Patos-Marinez, in an area of 44 thousand hectares, it is the largest oil-bearing zones in continental Europe. Patos-Marinez underground is estimated to have about 5.4 billion barrels of crude oil.
