The AM-TTC M4IVD is focused on the development and pilot manufacturing of point of care in-vitro diagnostics. The operation of such a pilot line under a GMP quality management system and under ISO 13485 is a pre-requisite for a credible offer to the industry. M4IVD will address an important gap in the technology transfer infrastructure and will therefore be unique with this offering, as such service is not existing in Switzerland and can rarely be found worldwide. Switzerland is very strong in the domain of Life Sciences, Pharma and Medical. Many small to medium sized companies are actively developing biomarkers. M4IVD will support such companies by acceleration of the development and pilot production. As bigger diagnostics companies are refocusing on central lab technologies the point of care market segment is opening for M4IVD and its customers to serve markets e.g. in developing countries, for companion diagnostics or personal health. M4IVD is an association, which might be converted into a company in the future.
